Photography 1

Photo 1 is a fine art elective for grades 9-12. The basics of 35mm SLR cameras will be empasized. Students will be required to have access to a 35mm SLR camera (digital or film) for homework projects. Technical aspects will be emphasized, as well as art concepts such as composition and color theory. Basic digital darkroom techniques will be covered using PhotoShop, but illustration, montage, and manipulation will not be part of the class. For more practice with those parts of PhotoShop, students are encouraged to look into Graphic Arts 1 and 2. For information on the Fall 07 photo one classes, please see Miss Felando's web page.
