VCS Libraries

Mission

In light of our calling to enable students to live and serve as followers of Christ in the world today, the mission of the VCS Libraries is:

(1) to create avid and capable readers, and

(2) to teach information literacy skills to all students.

To that end, we aim to provide:

  • student-centered facilities
  • excellent print and digital resources for recreational and academic use
  • an outstanding instructional program.

This instructional program will support traditional literacy and information literacy.  Information Literacy is the ability to access, evaluate, and use INFORMATION effectively, efficiently, and ethically.
