VCPS at Park is Valley Christian Preschool at Park Church in Long Beach – part of Valley Christian Schools, established in 1935, with 5 campuses Pre-K through 12th grade, and a diverse student body of 1300 students in total.
What is different about VCPS? Lead by our Early Childhood Director, Mrs. Angie Colclasure, Valley Christian Preschools feature the highly acclaimed HighScope method of early education. The HighScope curriculum, validated by years of research, places a strong emphasis on active participatory learning. This developmentally-based method focuses on child initiated active learning. It leverages children's natural curiosity and allows for exploration and variation. Students participate in purposeful play activities. All our Preschool teachers are trained and certified in this method.
