Dear VCS Family,

Valley Christian Schools is offering a class called Love and Logic to all VC parents and staff of infants throught high schools students. The material in this parenting class applies to kids of all ages and deals with restorative justice, which focuses on restoring relationships rather than being punitive in nature.  Restorative justice is biblical in nature.  The word discipline means changing behavior.  Children respond best when they are given the same guidance at home and school.  It is the goal of Valley that home and school can be on the same page when instructing children in how to make right choices.

Love and Logic help children see the effects of their choices and guides them to make the best choices.  It shows parents how to demonstrate grace at the same time as they exhibit parental guidance.  With this in mind, Valley will be offering a 4 week class in Love and Logic to our parents and teachers.
It is an interactive class that will provide opportunities to meet other Valley folks and learn new ways to parent/teach children. The class will be lead by our own superintendent, Ron Taylor and his wife Kathy.  They are certified as trainer of Love and Logic and are excited to share their knowledge and experience with our families and staff.  The classes will be held at the Elementary School on Thursday nights from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm starting February 9th.

It is $35 per person (includes workbook), $65 per couple (includes one workbook), $75 per couple (includes two workbooks).

Registration and payment has been extended to Wed., 1/25. Childcare is available. When registering for childcare, please give the age(s) of the child(ren).

This class will be limited.  Please call the ES office at 562-920-9902 or email Karen Garcia  If you are interested in the class, but this night doesn’t work for you, call and let Mrs. Garcia know, so if we need to offer a second class, we can pick the night most available to the families.
