Welcome to Valley Christian High School, a WASC accredited, diverse, private, coeducational, Christian school with around 515 students in 9th -12th grades. Our high school experience affords students a wide variety of academic and co-curricular activities including highly competitive athletics and robotics, fine arts, Service Learning and Wilderness Challenge courses. Students are presented with opportunities to stretch, grow and eventually reach their God-given potential as they prepare for their next steps in college and in life.

    Academics

Academically, we provide a rigorous education including four Honors courses and twelve Advanced Placement courses. After graduation, over 95% of our students continue on to college. Our students attend each class four times a week, including one extended class period in our modified block schedule. The Academic Support Program provides assistance for students with diagnosed learning issues.

    Service

As a part of the mission of Valley Christian High School, we believe that it is important for students to learn to live in gratitude for the abundance of blessings God has given them. Learning avenues of service as well as developing habits and patterns of servanthood are important Christian virtues. Each year our students have opportunities to serve both locally and globally, including mission trips in Alaska and Zuni, New Mexico.

    Athletics

Athletically, we field 30 teams in 20 different sports. We have celebrated 33 CIF Championships and 253 League Championships. Approximately 60% of our students are involved in athletics.

    Arts

The Arts are alive at Valley Christian High School. About 30% of our students perform in our choirs, bands or orchestra. Each spring our Broadway Showcase highlights our students’ abilities in performing arts. Students have the opportunity to pursue interests in the fine arts of painting, drawing, and ceramics.

    Campus

Our campus is located on 33 acres in the city of Cerritos. Education is supported in our state of the art math and science classrooms. Students and faculty have access to 1-1 iPads.  We use Canvas as our Learning Management System, and Power School is our Information Management System.

    Faculty

The highlight of our school is the faculty. Our experienced classroom teachers demonstrate a love for their students, their discipline, and Jesus Christ. This passion flows through individual and group interactions as the they instruct students in the process of making a difference for Jesus Christ in the world. Teachers have the ability to interact in a meaningful way with each student since we have an average class size of approximately 18 students. Our counselors, faculty, and experienced administrative team provide an excellent learning environment for our students.
