    What is PowerSchool?

    PowerSchool is a web-based student information system that allows parents real-time access to their student’s grades. It is beneficial to parents, teachers, administrators, and to the students who can track their own progress.

    As soon as any information is added or changed it’s available to everyone. When teachers enter grades and attendance information for their class, that same data is immediately available to the school, to guidance counselors, and even to parents and students.

    Benefits to Parents

    With PowerSchool, parents are able to access vital information about their children quickly and accurately. You can see the results of tests and assignments as soon as they are recorded, enabling you to intervene quickly and communicate with guidance counselors and teachers, if necessary. Day in and day out, PowerSchool helps you help your children achieve their potential.

    How to Logon

    For students and parents new to the 4th - 12th grades, usernames and passwords are provided near the beginning of the fall term either in a mailing or at a school event. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to use the assistance link available from the login page.

    Website or App?

    We encourage you to use the website version of PowerSchool for additional benefits like checking your family service hour balance. There is a PowerSchool App available for Android and iOS. If you choose to use the app, our District Code is: KNRJ

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXISTING PARENTS (who already have an account for another student)

    1. Login to ps.vcschools.org with your current username and password
    2. If you need password assistance, click "Forgot Username or Password?" at the bottom of the page.
    3. Click "Account Preferences" on the left side
    4. Choose the "Students" tab
    5. Click "Add"
    6. Enter your student's name: 
    7. Enter your student's Access ID (from letter mailed home or provided at a school event) (CaSe sensitive)
    8. Enter your student's Access Password (CaSe sensitive)
    9. Choose YOUR relationship to the student
    10. Click "Submit"

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEW PARENTS (without a previously created parent account)

    1. Go to ps.vcschools.org and click "Create Account" at the BOTTOM of the screen.
    2. Enter your first name, last name, and email address.
    3. Enter your desired user name. It must be unique and CANNOT be an email address.
    4. Enter your desired password - it must be at least 6 characters long ..... Re-enter your password
    5. Enter your student's name:
    6. Enter your student's Access ID (Provided in a mailing or at a school event) (CaSe sensitive)
    7. Enter your student's Access Password (CaSe sensitive)
    8. Choose YOUR relationship to the student
    9. If you have an Access ID and Password for another student, you may enter them on the next line. Refer to the instruction sheet for your other student or more students can be added later.
    10. When all student information has been completed, press the "Enter" button.
    11. If you desire more than one parent/guardian account for your student, please share these instructions anyone that you authorize to access your student's information (parents, guardians, relatives, siblings, etc.)
