Tuition Assistance

  • 2017-18 School Year

Returning VC families deadline to apply for Tuition Assistance: January 31, 2017
We know finances can be a barrier to enrollment in any Christian school. Our commitment to this education is evident in our tuition assistance program. Tuition assistance is supported by many generous gifts from members of the Valley Christian community and VCS families.
The Board of Directors encourages families to apply for a tuition adjustment, especially if they have more than one student at VCS. Assistance is available for students in Full-Day K - 12. Our robust program allows us to grant almost $1,000,000 in Tuition Assistance each year.

    How is Tuition Assistance determined?

Each case is confidential and is evaluated by a third party, FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition).  Tuition Assistance is allocated based on reports provided by FAST.

    How can my family apply?

    • Applications are submitted online
    • Access the FAST program here
    • Click the Start Application button and follow the instructions
    • A tuition assistance application is considered complete when all information is submitted online and required documents are mailed or scanned to FAST. The last page of the application notes each element required for a complete application. Only complete applications are reviewed.
    • Applicants must re-apply each year

    Prospective Families:

As a prospective family, we ask that you apply for a tuition grant at the same time you apply for admission.

For the 2017-18 school year, families can begin applying as early as November 1, 2016.

    Returning Families:

The deadline for tuition assistance requests is January 31, 2017. We will accept your completed 2015 tax information for your 2017-18 application. A complete application includes mailing or scanning 2015 tax information to FAST. Please review directions at the end of the application.

    What adjustment amounts are awarded?

The amount of the adjustment is based on several factors including family income, expenses, assets and number of dependents.  Families in the same income range may have different overall financial circumstances and may receive a different adjustment amount.

The amount of adjustment granted during any given year will vary based on pre-approved amounts determined annually by the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors.
