• Admissions Process

    Our Admissions Process includes a few steps planned to help your family in making the decision for a Valley Christian education. 

    You may have already participated by attending an Admissions Open House Event, Preview or personal tour. We want you to know us well and understand how we partner in education. You're invited to a concert or athletic event so you can get a stronger sense of our outstanding programs and our community.

    At every step along the way we're available to answer questions and connect you with teachers and other staff members. You can always start by speaking with Leann Bakker or Dianne Grasmeyer in Admissions. They are happy to help your process.

    The Application Process for new families.
    First, we want you to see the campus you're interested in by attending an Admissions Open House Event, Preview or Personal Tour.

    When you're ready to apply, these are the components of your application:

    1) Application for Admissions

    Our application is online. You can start and finish at any time of day or night, at your convenience. The application provides us with information about your family, your church participation, your personal statement of faith,as well as information about your student all included in an Application Checklist.

    You'll send your Pastor Recommendation via email, to the appropriate pastor at your church and they'll complete their parts directly with us.

    For Students Entering Grades K – 12, please ask your student's current teacher to complete the Teacher Evaluation form via email form. If your student has multiple teachers, please ask a core subject teacher to fill it out. For Preschool Students (ages 3 - 5): please fill out the Preschool Family Questionnaire.

    5) Current Standardized Test Scores, Report Card, Immunization Record and Birth Certificate.

    For grades 1-12, please provide the most recent standardized test scores available to you along with your student's most recent report cards.

    For all grades, please provide a copy of an up-to-date immunization record and birth certificate.

    The Process for Current Families Adding a Student.

    The application process for current families is simplified. Current VCS families who would like to add a student (not currently attending VCS) please go to the admissions page to click on VC Family adding a Student. As you complete the application, you'll upload:
    • a copy of the student's last report card
    • most recent standardized test scores
    • complete immunization records
