High School Library

  • The Defender Library is centered on campus and available to students during school hours. The Library offers students an abundance of valuable resources: books, ebooks, subscription databases, computer access, printing, and much more! Our Librarian, Mrs. Hefley, is here to assist you with your academic needs, finding a great book to read, explore your personal interests and goals, and help in any way that will make your experience here at Valley Christian exceptional. Mr. Parsons and the Tech Help Center are available in the Library to help you with any of your tech needs and open during school hours.

    Quick Facts

    Hours:  M-F  7:50 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  

    Book Checkout: Regular - 3 weeks, renewals are possible. Reference - 1 night.

    Late Fees: 10 cents per day, reference is $1.00 per day.

    Photocopies: 5 per day for academic use, personal copies are 10 cents each.

    A library pass is required during class hours.

    The Coffee Bar is now open! Common Grounds will be open before school to the end of first break.

    Technology 

    The library contains 8 iMac desktops. 

    iPad checkouts are available for $1, not overnight, unless approved by Mr. Parsons. Late fees are $2 daily.

    Computers are for word processing, research, and appropriate Internet use.  

    Social networking, streaming, and games are allowed before and after school. Bring your earbuds for audio.
