    Valley Christian Schools Update: All athletic events, extra-curricular activities and field trips have been cancelled through Monday, April 6. Here is more information that was sent out last week.
     
    Messaging Service - Last week a text message was sent out to test our new Blackboard Messaging service. If you did not receive that test message or if you have any questions about the messaging service, please email techhelp@vcschools.org
     
    All VC Broadway Showcase owned costumes need to be returned ASAP to any VC school office. Please return costumes in a bag with your students name on it.
     
    If you are interested in a documentary video of Broadway Showcase, please visit the Broadway Showcase website to place your order for either a DVD or Digital Download of the show. The videos are being sold exclusively online this year, and orders will be accepted through March 27th.
     
    Photos of Broadway Showcase will be available in the coming weeks. Pre-orders are being accepted via www.thecastproductions.com.

    Trot for Technology: Elementary students are seeking pledges or donations for the jog-a-thon fundraiser. Make a pledge or donation at www.vcschools.org/trot. Donations will be accepted through Friday, 3/20.
     
     

     

    Middle School  
     
    8th Grade Science Fair has been cancelled.
     
    The VCHS Honors 1 English Entrance Test for 3/23 or 3/24 has been postponed until May. Mrs. Lee will send out more details as we get closer to that date.     Save the Date: High School Cheer Tryouts for 2020-2021 are coming! Mandatory Parent Information Meeting Thursday, 4/9 at VCHS in the SSB from 6:30-7:30 PM. Cheer Tryouts are 4/14-17 from 3:00-5:30 PM, at VCHS. Please email vchspepsquad@gmail.com with any questions.

    The Zuni Trip Parent Meeting schedule for today, 3/16 has been cancelled. Please look for an email from Ms. Snoeyink and please contact her with any questions at rsnoeyink@vcschools.org.
     
    Senior Parents - Please remind your student that scholarship applications are due Friday, 3/27! Has your child been active in service during their high school years? Is he/she planning on attending Calvin University? Does your student hope to be an elementary teacher? Is your child intending to attend a trade or vocational school? A variety of scholarships are available for seniors from generous Valley alumni and supporters and from the Scholastic Arts Society. You can see a description of the scholarships at vcschools.org/hsresources in the “For Senior Parents” section. Paper copies of the scholarships are available on the shelves outside of the Counselor’s office and students can also find them in the “High School Student” section on Canvas. Scholarships must be handed in by the end of the school day to Mrs. Doornbos’s desk on Friday, 3/27.
