Safety & Security
Safety & Security at Valley Christian Schools
At Valley Christian Schools the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors are our top priority. We are committed to creating a secure learning environment where every student feels protected, respected, and able to thrive.
We currently employ two full-time armed security guards who are both alumni with an extensive law enforcement background. We also contract with outside security as needed. Our safety and security team works diligently to maintain a campus culture built on vigilance, preparedness, and care. We partner closely with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and our own Safety Committee to ensure our policies meet the highest standards of school safety. Our Safety Committee is made up of first responders, staff members, and our security team.
Key Areas of Focus:
-
Secure Campus Access: Controlled entry points, visitor check-in systems, and identification requirements help protect our school community.
-
Emergency Preparedness and Drills: Regular drills for fire, earthquake, lockdown, and evacuation scenarios keep students and staff ready to respond calmly and effectively.
-
Technology & Monitoring: Cameras and communication systems allow us to respond quickly to incidents and maintain campus awareness.
-
Equipment: Our campuses are equipped with fire alarms, PA systems, Stop the Bleed Kits in every classroom, Emergency Kits and First Aid Kits in every classroom and Security Cameras.
-
Collaboration: Safety is a shared responsibility. We encourage students, families, and staff to speak up if they see or hear something concerning.
At Valley Christian Schools, we believe that a safe school is a strong school. By fostering an environment of trust and preparedness, we ensure that every student can focus on what matters most—their education and personal growth.
