About our Superintendent
Ron Taylor joined Valley Christian as Superintendent in 2014. He brings with him a wealth of experience and a love for Christian Education.
First and foremost, Ron is a strong Christian who loves the Lord, fully supporting the VCS Reformed Christian worldview. He has a love for learning, both for himself and fostering it in young people. Ron is a strong leader with a rare combination of administration experience in both public and Christian education. Prior to coming to VCS, his most recent role in educational leadership was with Bellevue Christian Schools, near Seattle, WA. He's near completion on his doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Grand Canyon University.
Ron attended Arizona State University for his undergraduate study, where he met Kathy, now his wife of 31 years.
Ron has been described as a person who is “open, transparent, self-reflective, and a delight to work with.” The Taylors attend City Church of Long Beach with their adult daughter and grandchildren.
Ron is leading an initiative to reorganize our already strong high school campus which will allow students an even greater concentration on specific tracks of learning, like our thriving Robotics program. Every chance he gets, Ron is happy to talk with parents, faculty and staff about supporting students as they achieve Artistic Accomplishment, Athletic Distinction and Academic Excellence.
We at Valley Christian are thrilled to serve alongside such a dynamic leader and hope you'll find time to speak with or meet Ron at a Valley Christian Admissions Event, or one of our many activities throughout the school year.
