Looking Ahead: Teachers are excited to start planning for a fun summer preschool program. Summer preschool will run for 8 weeks from June 1- July 23. Summer sign-ups coming soon!

6th Grade Parents: 7th Grade Class Registration 2021-22 for current VCS 6th grade students was mailed home to parents last week. Please return the blue worksheet to your student's homeroom teacher by this Wednesday, 3/3.5th & 6th Grade Athletics: We will be offering a Boys/Girls coed Flag Football and Volleyball program after school beginning the week of March 8. Volleyball will be on Mondays and Wednesdays and Flag Football will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The practices will be 3:00-4:00 PM and will include about 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of scrimmage play. Registration forms are avaiable here or at the elementary school office and must be returned by Thursday, March 4. This year's 8th grade Science Fair will be held Thursday, 3/18, 3:00-6:30 PM in the middle school chapel. Students will be allowed to sign up for 45 minute time slots. Information has been mailed out to students and parents.The end of the Third Quarter is this Friday, 3/5. Please begin preparing to pick up class materials for 4th quarter start date, Monday, 3/8.

Lakewood Pan American Association Annual Scholarship: The Lakewood Pan American Association's annual scholarship program is now accepting applications. Current high school seniors who live in Lakewood are eligible, regardless of where they go to school. Scholarships to help pay future college or trade school costs will be awarded in the range of $500 to $1,500. Students who have overcome adversity, made significant contributions to their schools and/or community and excelled academically are encouraged to apply. The LPAA is a civic organization that provides diverse cultural and educational opportunities for citizens in the Lakewood community.
