Trike-A-Thon: Preschoolers will have a fun morning of riding bikes, eating a fun snack, and learning about different forms of transportation on Friday, 2/26. This will be our second fundraiser of the school year which will allow us to purchase a new bike for the playground, a shade cover, and some fun table toys to bring learning outside (More info to come). Each class will have a special time to ride their trikes! Riding times are as follows:
All friends are invited to attend and parents are welcome to join us during their child's riding time to take pictures and encourage their child as they trike around the parking lot! Masks are required and please social distance.Dr. Seuss Birthday celebration begins on Monday, 3/1.

6th Grade Parents: 7th Grade Class Registration 2021-22 for current VCS 6th grade students were mailed home to parents last week. Please return the blue worksheet to your student's homeroom teacher by Wednesday, 3/3.Patriotic Spirit Day - Thursday, 2/25. In honor of Presidents' Day, show your school spirit by wearing your best Red, White & Blue. Spirit Day is optional. If you choose not to participate, please be in uniform.Box Tops For Education: Even though the Box Tops program has gone digital, there are still some products out there with traditional clips. 8th Grade Parents: It’s time to sign up for Valley Christian High School. Re-enrollment remains open, 9th Grade Class Registration 2021-2022 forms were emailed to families last week. Please complete the form with your student and return to the VCMS office or email to VCMSOffice@vcschools.org. Forms are due to the office by this Friday, 2/26.Although we are not having a Fine Arts Festival the way we normally do, if you play piano and would like to participate in a Fine Arts Recital, please email Mrs. Connell, Mr. Kooi or Miss Peppel to request more information and to be put on our list. Songs should be ready for performance by the end of February, and the recital is tentatively planned for Wednesday, 3/3.

The final deadline for submitting your child's senior yearbook dedication ad is coming up very soon, this Thursday, 2/25. This school year and the yearbook look different this year, but there definitely WILL be a yearbook so make sure your favorite senior is featured in it by placing a senior send-off ad. - Complete and upload the signed PDF of your class registration into Canvas. You must have a parent signature.
- Once your counselor approves your registration form in Canvas, you can go into the PowerSchool website to pick your classes. Class registration will be open in the PowerSchool website through February 26. Late students will be put on waiting lists for electives.

Lakewood Pan American Association Annual Scholarship:The Lakewood Pan American Association's annual scholarship program is now accepting applications. Current high school seniors who live in Lakewood are eligible , regardless of where they go to school. Scholarships to help pay future college or trade school costs will be awarded in the range of $500 to $1,500. Students who have overcome adversity, made significant contributions to their schools and/or community and excelled academically are encouraged to apply. The LPAA is a civic organization that provides diverse cultural and educational opportunities for citizens in the Lakewood community.
