    Subject: Weekly Update

Dear VCS Families, Faculty, and Staff

We have one week in the books and the energy on our campuses is contagious. It has been fun visiting the various campuses as students and staff try to resume a normal on campus experience for kids. I know this has been exciting for some and stressful for others. Thank you for entrusting your kids to our faculty and staff. Thank you for your continued support and help in keeping our campuses safe for our students and staff.

If you are a returning family to Valley Christian Schools these updates are familiar to you. If you are new to Valley Christian we welcome you and want to keep you informed as you transition into a new school. Each week I will send out a brief note to all families along with a snapshot of our COVID stats. We had a safe and healthy 20-21 school year and pray that this continues for the year ahead.

Below is the Valley Christian Schools weekly COVID-19 Health Update. As a reminder, this update communicates the current number of people on our staff or in our student population with a positive test or who are in quarantine following close contact protocol. If at any time it is determined that your student is a close contact, you will be contacted individually per our current contact tracing protocol. This protocol can be found on the document attached.  All numbers in the chart below are current, not year to date.

If your student tests positive or is living with someone who has tested positive, please do not send them to school until you have contacted the VCS COVID-19 Coordinator, Marlaina Goldine, and received your return to campus protocol. You may contact her at 562.860.0556 xt 247 or email her at mgoldine@vcschools.org

We are grateful for the wonderful start on each campus. Please join me in praying each week for our theme verse to be alive and evident as we seek to serve one another through our teaching and learning.

    In Him,

    Troy Stahl
    Superintendent
