Parent Service Hours
-
Ten hours of service to the school are required from each family, each school year. Parents, grandparents, and/or adult siblings of the student may serve these hours. If the hours are served during the summer months, any time after the end of school in June, they will be credited to the next school year. Hours do not roll over from one year to the next, nor are the hours transferable from one family to another. The activity must be school-related and school-approved.If you visit a campus during school hours and check into the computer at the main offices, your volunteer hours will be recorded. If you do not log your hours on the office computer, then you must download a copy of the Parent Service Hours Timecard. It is each parents' responsibility to keep track of and document their service hours. A completed card is filled out completely, signed by the person in charge of the activity, and turned in for processing. Parent service hours may be turned in to any of the campus offices, or emailed to servicehours@vcschools.org. It is up to each family to ensure the hours are completed. If you are unable to serve the required ten hours you can pay $250.00 or $25.00 per hour for any balance of hours not served. If you have any questions regarding Parent Service Hours please contact email servicehours@vcschools.org.
